Queen Victoria, 1849 ornamental trident copper penny:
Obverse: VICTORIA DEI GRATIA head left, W.W. on truncation.
Reverse: BRITANNIAR: REG FID: DEF : Britannia seated facing right, with shield, holding ornamental trident.

This piece found in 2016 in an Australian gold mine, Hepburn Springs, Victorian Golfields. It was found in mud wrapped in material, the mine has sulphurous mineral water seeping in.
Corroded surfaces though an attractive tone. The edge has been marked all round as if to imitate a milled appearance.
