Model half dollar or half eagle by Joseph Moore for the American market c. 1850:

Obverse: 13 stars around an eagle displayed, shield on breast, branch and arrows in claws, 1849 below.
Reverse: CALIFORNIA curved above MODEL in wreath, HALF DOLLAR curved below.
Composition: Gilt brass. Diameter: 10.9 mm.
Rogers 2465 RR.
Extremely rare in this grade.

Joseph Moore was a commercial medallist in Birmingham, England from 1840 - 1880.
