New Model Crown / Model 2 Shillings mule:
Obv: Obv: A, Annulus (outer ring), figures of Britannia and a Hercules standing on a rock, small ship sailing left, Britannia on left, facing left, holding palm branch and trident, Hercules on right facing, holding club in left hand, in right hand Union Jack, A&M in the exergue. Centre, VICTORIA REGINA around Gothic bust of Queen Victoria facing left.
Rev: 1, crowned wreath around MODEL 2 SHILLINGS.
Silver washed white metal. Edge: Rough plain, with a mostly central ridge around 70% of the circumference.
Weight: 6.51 grams. Diameter: 27.5 mm. Maximum thickness: 2.7 mm.
Extremely Rare, listed as unique in Model Crowns vol. 2 by A K Barter, Item 28.
This second only example, appears to be the finest known New Model Crown / Model 2 Shillings mule.
Obv: UNC with reflective fields. Rev: UNC, rough surface with no evidence of silver wash.
