Obverse: Hormizd IV, bust facing, head right, wearing crown with tassel to left and surmounted by crescent with |||, inside single dotted-border, crescent with star at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. There is Pahlavi script to the left and right of the king's portrait within the borders.
Reverse: Two attendants (or guards) flanking a flaming altar, wearing tall headgear, both hands on sword hilt, inside single dotted-border, no marks outside border.
Year 7 = AD 584/85. Mint: WYHC, Fars or Central Iraq, (near Ctesiphon).
Weight: 4.07 grams. Maximum diameter: 32.2 mm.
