Obv: NAPOLEO.I.GALL.IMP.ITAL.REX.GERMANICVS.RVTHENICVS. , head left, wearing Corinthian helmet decorated with eagle, laurel wreath, thunderbolt and snake.L.M. on truncation.
Rev: VINDOBONA. CAPTA. ANNO. MCCMV. (1805), Vienna seated in mourning before trophy of arms, MEDIOLANI in exergue.
Composition: Bronze. Diameter: 42.4mm. Weight: 35.14 grams.

A curiosity of this medal is the unusual format, in Roman numerals, of the year 1805, in the reverse legend.
