Meissen Works 1921 Sachsen (Saxony), Notgeld seven porcelain coin presentation cased set:
Includes 50 & 20 Pfennig; 20, 10, 5, 2 & 1 Marks.
Notgeld was used when there were shortages of coins or in the times of hyperinflation in Germany and Austria. They were not issued by the government of Germany but by local towns or banks and businesses.
The red leatherette finish on the outside of the case is rather tatty, the coins are all in perfect condition.
